ABOUT US With a background for entrepreneurship running through my veins and a vision of doing what I love to do, I decided to take a leap of faith and open my own photography business in the spring of 2002. My start in photography actually came in January 1995, as I started working in a portrait studio and would remain there for the next 8 years, learning the different ways to work with lighting and posing. Once I was able to do my own freelance, I was able to work with different lenses and filters, which really helped me to be creatively artistic. My initial homebase was out of Jacksonville, NC, where I was able to hone my skills on the beautiful beaches of the Atlantic shores. Wilmington, NC was my favorite site, as I would take many headshots, birthdays, sports, family and wedding photos at various beaches and parks. In February 2003, I moved my business to Hawaii, where my backdrop was literally paradise. As of January 1, 2005, I was able to further expand my services to include the San Diego area! My husband and daughter are also a major part of my team, as my husband is the DJ and my daughter goes to a Performing Arts Academy where she studies videography and photography and therefore lends a hand in behind the scenes editing as well as some shooting! Not only do I get to share my hobby with my family, but I actually get paid to interact with people and share their special events with them. It is truly a blessing.
